Cornucopia

  Take thy plastic spade,
It is thy pencil; take thy seeds, thy plants,
                  They are thy colours.

William Mason, The English Garden, 1782

This journal will not let me load multiple pictures again.

I just want to share pics of my garden's bounty but I can only load one.

I am picking the veggies and flowers everyday and sharing them with my neighbors.

I am continually adding more plants to my yard and I am hoping that it will look like a lush tropical garden in a year or so.

I am still looking for a slow growing bamboo plant.  Other varieties of bamboos can be very invasive so I am cautious about just getting one from the home improvement store.  Our local nursery is suppose to get some compact ones in two weeks.

I am also crazy about brugmansias. So far I have white, yellow, and peach colored ones. I recently acquired a variegated one that is suppose to have pink blooms. It is a cutting so I am yet to see its flowers.

Well, It's time for beddy-bye.  Goodnight, my friends!

I'm jealous.  You are already picking your bounty.  My mini garden is only in the blooming stage--so I am hoping I may get a few tomatoes, peppers, and beans before the snow arrives!  Great picture--and what a feeling, that you grew them!  LaVern

Wow, my tomatoes are just starting to grow fruit.  I will have to look up brugmansias and see what they look like, something I've never heard of before.

I just looked up brugmansia, is it a vine?  If so I think I had some in CA but I called it trumpet vine.  The hummingbirds loved it.

You are doing so great.  Sharing the bounty too that's lovely.  Hubby went out and got an earth box but he doesn't have it in the best location, needs more sun...so I know what we are doing this weekend.  Great looking veggies...Sandi http://journals.aol.com/sdoscher458/LifeIsFullOfSurprises
