This poem is by an unknown poet. It deeply touched me. I am posting it here to share in hopes that someone will appreciate its sentiments like I did. It is also a tribute to a fellow J'er who lost her friend recently. I am glad she was there for her when she needed to be loved the most.
The Time Is Now
If your are ever going to love me
Love me now, while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
From which true affection flows
Love me now, while I am living
Do not wait until I am gone
And then it will be chiseled in marble
Sweet words on ice cold stone
If you have tender thoughts of me
Please tell me now
If you wait till I am sleeping
Never to awaken
There will be death between us
And I would not hear you then
So if you love me, even a little bit
Let me know while I am living
So I can treasure it
***Life is too short. Love much. Laugh often. Live well***

This is agreat poem whomever wroite it
Any one that mentions Ayn Rand has my attention. I read the "two big ones" when I was in high school which was many many years ago. I scored THE FOUNTAINHEAD in hard back at a book sale not too long ago, but have not re-read it yet. My best gal pal friend in the whole world lives in Florida and her husband retired about three years ago from the Army.....Look forward to getting to know you....now I'm gonna read!
Isn't it sad that we hold back telling someone how we feel because we think we'll be chastised, rebuked, laughed at?
This poem touched me deeply. So glad you shared it. I strolled through your journal and enjoyed what I read. Will definitely be back again. Thanks for visiting my journal. *Barb* http://journals.aol.com/barbpinion/HEYLETSTALK
