Happy Graduation, J!

Congratulations on your graduation! I love you now and always...

 For My Son

I wish the clock would stop

So you can be young forever

When happiness is a norm

And there’s no pressure to conform

 You are my philosopher

“Life is what you make it”

That is what you said

When asked why others

Live unhappy and tortured lives

I hope you will remember

To make your life happy

I wish you all the strength

To fight society’s negativity

And all the courage

To be what you wanted to be

I take it life may be a little busy there at this time with all the preperations and such. Enjoy and relish the moment. The red poster made me laugh. While working at the university so many profs like to complain about "today's students" and bemoan "what's this world coming to." I can truly say that I have met some of the kindest, most committed, hard working, dedicated people in my classrooms and I am honored to share a classroom with them. You son has a wonderful start on his journey... your love, affection, and courage to let go and watch him fly while he trails his roots behind where ever he goes.

A most excellent graduation season to you both!
